About me

I’m a Senior Product Designer who enjoys solving complex problems and making them feel simple for the people who use them.

For the past five years, I’ve been designing B2B financial products at Bottomline Technologies, primarily for Paymode, a platform that processes more than $500 billion in B2B payments annually for over 600,000 businesses. Working in a complex product space for this long has given me the opportunity to go beyond designing individual features. I’ve developed a deep understanding of our users, products, technology, and business, and I use that context to help shape what we build.

My approach to design is straightforward: make things work for the user. I try to understand what people are actually trying to accomplish, anticipate what they’ll need along the way, and give them the flexibility to work in ways that make sense for them. Rather than forcing users to adapt to a product, I believe the product should support the actions they were already trying to take.

My work spans the full product design process. I conduct user interviews, surveys, usability testing, analytics and desk research; influence requirements and product strategy; design end-to-end experiences; and help turn ideas into shipped products. I also help lead our design system, from creating new components and patterns to governing and expanding the system across our products. More recently, I’ve been leading our AI design initiatives and establishing the patterns and components needed to bring AI into our products thoughtfully.

I’ve worked on everything from new reporting and dashboard experiences to procurement, mobile, product integrations, and AI. What I enjoy most is working with others to understand a problem from all sides, ask the right questions, find a strong solution within real-world constraints, and then put that solution into action.

I studied Engineering Psychology at Tufts University, where I also served as president of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society. That background shaped the way I think about the relationship between people and the systems they use and it continues to influence how I approach product design today.
